the guy I work for keeps throwing around the name "inked pink" for the site he wants to do dedicated to tattooed girls...

problem is inkedpink . com is taken by some dude that hasn't updated it since 4/20 and is using it as a blog.

I am pretty sure the bossman will throw a pretty penny his way for the domain name ... I emailed the guy and he said "we're looking to do something with it too." I asked what and what he would take for it and haven't heard anything back.

It generates no revenue as it's not set up for a pay site, doesn't look like it gets much traffic, and honestly I don't think the guy is going to use it for anything.

I don't want to offer too high off the bat and I have no idea what it would be worth.

Any suggestions?? thanks

I would offer him 100$ for it and then we he comes back and asks for 4 or 5 and he will tell him to fuck off.

Give him a few days/weeks and he will either come back with a lower offer, or he wont.

If he does not, then move on.

Or if you think its worth it that much to you to have it, Spend the loot.

If your that hung up on the name. Make him an offer.

Would have been less time to do so then to make and respond in this thread. And if he does say he wants 500 bucks or something, big deal. If the name and concept and 'dream domain' could be got for 500 bones, its pretty cheap.

My advice. Make a reasonable offer. If he rejects it then go on with another domain. Do not fuck your mind with such ideas. Use it to find a good free domain.

I would make him an offer that you feel is worthwhile (personally $100 is pushing it).

If he is a greedy son of a bitch, well then just find another domain. It is not worth all the headaches and time, especially for the fact it doesn't start til 2011.

Hmm...a two word domain name is not very long? A .com name like that would never sell today for $100. You might want to go to DNjournal dot com and look up their weekly sales report on how much good domain names are going for now-a-days. I like the name btw, but as far as price, it's like someone else mentioned, whatever it's worth to you.

I think $100 is a reasonable amount for a half-dead blog, but the fact that the guy does not reply seems to indicate that he is not keen on selling it, if I was you I would move on.

The 10 domain names above are worth $0 in my opinion. About the domain name in question that started this post, being it's connected to a "half dead blog" at the moment doesn't really mean that the domain itself isn't worth more than $100. If used correctly, that domain could be branded in it's niche well. But as someone mentioned, the guy hasn't responded to your $100 offer, (I would be very surprised if he accepted $100) so it time to either offer him more if you really want that name, or move on and look for something else. Good luck in your hunt.
