                                                                                          Fred, looking at these pics I see a dark area on the right corners & edge of each shot. Kinda looks like a vignette along the edge of the pictures. This is caused by your photographer using a shutterspeed that is too fast to sync up properly with the flash that they are using. Have them slow their shutterspeed down one click, and those dark areas will go away.

                                                                                          I had that issue with my 5D when I first bought it. Canon recommend a sync speed for the shutter to use with flash but neither of my 5D bodies work well at that suggested sync speed. I have to drop my shutter back by 3rd of a stop from what Canon suggests is optimal... to make those dark areas go away.

                                                                                                                  Great info, every photog has probably experienced the too fast o shutter for strobes. This is actually a vignette the photographer put on the pics in post.He transcoded them himself and chose the vignette for a "moodier" look I believe. We don't normally vignette pics.

                                                                                                                                          That's probably what he told you since he didn't want to tell you that this was caused by not using the right sync speed

                                                                                                                                          Vignettes are typically done so all 4 corners are darkened down....not only the top and bottom on the right side of a picture. It makes no sense to vignette only the right side of a picture for a whole set of pictures.

                                                                                                                                          It may have been an accident - it happens to us all at least once. I just wanted to bring it to your attention just in case it wasn't an accident but something that needed to be corrected.
