Digital Cucumber: Introduction

"Introduce Yourself — create a new thread to say Hello," you say? Alright! I've spent some time working on this introduction since everything should be in order. Sorry if it came up longer than usual.

Digital Cucumber is a Canadian based creative agency specializing mostly in web and graphics design. Our team members are experienced with the adult industry, and I must say it's a vast experience: we've been involved working with dating sites, interactive tours, member areas, regular tours and so on.

We are currently working on our own projects, a couple of mainstream ones, and some for the adult industry: Dating and Tours. In case you are interested — I'll tell you everything after the presentation.

To bring some value to this introduction, we've prepared small clipart for you guys. Nothing fancy, just a little specific... But, we all know that Christmas is coming, and you need to do all these banners, pop-up windows, pop-under windows, whatever you have to, to sell and promote! So we've created this to share with you — it was fun to do, to be honest.

Dating

The idea was to create something remarkable, something that we don't have on the market yet. Developed entirely from scratch, our web application can be used as a standalone engine or as a part of something bigger, with an integrated database. During the process, we kept in mind two words: "white label," "white label," "white label!"

And, yes, it is a white label ready dating system. It's tokenized and can be used in many different ways. Do you want to charge for a chat message? Please, do, just set a price! For a subscription? Go for it! Want to go crazy and set everything free? Well, who am I to say no? Do it already!

Our system will soon be open for beta testing, so we are welcome everyone to join us, in case you want to check it out! More than that, your opinion is so important, hence who can say something about such stuff as dating if not you guys, huh?

Here are some features of a web application we build:

Tours

I've seen HTML-based tours hosted on multiple domains. Hundreds of domain names, all hardcoded, terrible, slow, outdated; I've seen great people failing to make a simple tube gallery; I've seen terrible player pages, terrible performance, terrible layouts... I can definitely tell you — I've seen a lot! And I asked myself — why? Well, that's why!

That's why we created a tour system of our own. It's clean, supports multiple domains, multiple tours for each domain — both in unlimited numbers.

System supports media categories for content distribution, which are made to be shared between different tours and domains.

For now, it has five different templates to be used as previews. Multiply that by portrait, landscape or masonry layout. Every bit of preview can be easily changed in the admin interface, so it's up to you what colours and styling to use over there. Player pages and it's elements inherit the preview styling, or, in case you want to, player pages can be turned off and replaced with a join link.

The system supports our own small and very reliable lazy load, so you won't eat up all your clients' mobile traffic, as it happens sometimes.

In general, it's a tour constructor created by people who's been updating 160ish domains with bare hands!
