The house across the street from me was hit a while back.

It was an easy mark. Their garage was always open, and you can see their garage was full of crap so that they couldn't park inside. They parked their two cars in the driveway; Drive by a few times and you can quickly figure it out. One Sunday morning it seems both cars were gone so they parked out front, walked through the gate to the back yard, and broke a window there. What they didn't know is that their eighteen year old kid was home and he called the cops. Suddenly our street was flooded with cops.... They didn't get anything; I'm not sure if they caught them or not.

It can happen anywhere.

Not at all. It's an older waterfront neighborhood. However, like all of Tampa, there is lower income housing not far away.
