Around 10 years ago average models in the UK and EU were happy to work for $500 a day. Solo and lesbian and the same per scene for hardcore. Then the Internet guys wandered in and started paying $1,000 a day or $1,000 a scene .
Then models started to demand it from everyone.
Now people are complaining at the price of models.

What he said, if you want high-end-models you pay a high price, but it depends, if she's good but new she'll probably work for 500-600$ / day, but as soon as her name has any sales value the prices can go insane. Of course it depends ... you're paying less for non-nude as for glamour and you're paying more for hardcore than for glamourComment

Probably depends on the perspective. She might be worth less to an amateur-style photographer that wants to have new "never-before-seen" models, but a well known pornstar will be worth more to companies that primarily shoot big names (i.e. Twisty's, Brazzers, etc.)

It's not something that can be calculated on a slide rule. Some girls I could watch every day and still not get enough, some once seen I don't need to see again. Stars have that little extra that make them stars.
You have to think of it like this and not like stacking shelves with a product. Do guys buy because there are hundreds of scenes or the scenes they need?Comment
