That would be somewhat scary, if the figures used were even remotely accurate. But they're not.
The "documentary" states that in 15 years, half of the Dutch population will be Muslim. That's absolute and utter bullshit.
According to the most extreme calculations, 24% of people in the Netherlands will be Muslim in 2050. However, that is assuming far higher immigration than predicted, every single Asian and African immigrant being Muslim, the rate of Muslims getting their partners from Arabic countries going way up, and fertility among Dutch Muslims going way up.
Simply put: that scenario is *highly* unlikely.
Following stats as we're seeing them now on the other hand, 20% of the Dutch population will be Muslim in 2120. 30% will be reached around 2250. 40% will be reached several hundreds of years after that, and 50% will never be reached.
Oh, and that's still assuming that 100% of all immigrants will be Muslim and that 100% of Muslims will remain Muslim - both of which are rather unlikely./(bb|[^b]{2})/Comment
