google knows too much already, and I have only seen it hurt sites I've used it on

No need for alexa. Google Analytics is fine, the script needs to go on every single page. Don't let people scare you away from Google - it does a fantastic job and I could care less what they see. I don't use Google Analytics on my super spammy sites, thats all.

Her are the stats they are very different so I know something is wrong..

Alexa : avg time on site 3.5mins
Bounce rate 24.4 %

Google Analytics : avg time on site 53 secs
Bounce rate 70.4 %

Thanks I would really like to know whats right because either im doing something right and its all good, or im doing something very wrong.

give alexa kickout, they ar enot tracking script...

Low. A bounce is somebody who arrives and leaves very quickly.

Lower the better, bounce is people hitting your site and "bouncing" right out Sarah

More specifically, it's a visitor who leaves without clicking on any of the links on your site. This is why it's important to have analytics on all the pages. Well, one of the reasons anyway.
