I think you are way to open to the public with all the hype about you selling... Asking GFY or posting about it on your site is probably not the best of ideas.
Keeping things on the DL will get you the real buyers attention. Now that you posted it on GFY I am sure out of the 300 emails probably 10 will be worth looking into.
Anyways good luck with the future and hope all happens for the best, you selling it or not ;-)

What top 2000 Alexa tube sites do you run? I'm curious, as most people who say things like that, don't even own a tube site to begin with let alone know how well the traffic is..
But luckily all the people I've talked to who DO run tube sites say the traffic is amazing.

Best of luck in this. Always been a fan and I have bought traffic from you over the years so I know it is not the typical tube traffic. The site converts. Sometimes a person needs a change. Nothing wrong with that. When you are selling something, I agree shout it out. who knows where the next deep pocketed buyer will come from?

Everyone has said enough other stuff but I would like to suggest the following to you...
1) End the nonsense about publicly discussing a sale on your actual site
2) Accept that your servers, colo and network setup are without value and outdated. What you're doing on 40 servers for only 400k/day of traffic can likely be done on 5-10, perhaps less. Not trying to make you depressed here, but invariably your colo is a larger business expense and there are more efficient ways to get things done while both generating savings and picking a host who can support you and leverage what hosts have to leverage with fully managed.
3) Don't be "that guy" who thinks they need a ton of custom coding, be the business guy. There are several scripts out there which are supported where you can be the webmaster and the host can do the tech (and perhaps small code enhancements). Off the top of my head, MechBunny combined with something like OpenAds for a tube site.
I'm happy to rattle off more suggestions off-GFY so don't hesitate to phone me if you want further explanation or suggestions... I'm always happy to help or give me 10 cents, everyone knows that.

well, i think going public with everything is a a great way to generate interest and publicity, along with keeping the fans in the loop. i've gotten 300 emails in the last 48 hours from fans, and only 10 were death threats!
i even had some guy say he is in a wheelchair and spends all day on the internet and that if i sold my site he would probably kill himself! now that's fucking fan dedication!!!Comment
