There is no crushing the virus. It is here to stay and will be part of the seasonal viruses that come through every year. It HAS to go through us and so we have to let it by allowing the healthy to resume life as per normal while protecting the vulnerable.

New Zealand apparently crushed the virus. Sure. But now what? They have trapped themselves. They can't open their borders until a vaccine is found, IF a vaccine is found that works in time. So they will sit there, while their economy degrades (tourism is 10%) and will eventually have no choice but to open up and let the virus back in, after a substantial loss to their economy and livelihood.

If we could crush the virus that would be great. But it doesn't work like that and we are going about this wrong, making it worse for us all in the long run.
