These guys are kick ass and cool to work with. Definitely check it out. Sure, there's other social networks out there but I think these guys get the real 2.0 feel.

Since you guys are in Beta and technically I'm beta testing, I'll offer some feedback:

1) When registering set the tab order for the form, right now it tabs to the "?"s in between fields.

2) Add pagination links to the bottom of pages not just the top. Not knowing how many results per page and scrolling down to look for a name only to find you have to scroll back to the top again can get frustrating :P

I am actually in the final stages of programing my site... its similar to this but not exactly ... some similarities , some differences , some features not on this site that are on mine some on this site that are not on mine ... anyways It looks great regardless and im glad someone else in porn world shares the same ideas and forward thinking... Just logged in and started looking around. Couple of things:

1) Would be good if you could add each porn star to a 'favourites' list - then you can refer to your list whenever you login, instead of having to search for each pornstar every time

2) Where is Brooke Adams?!

We have a lot of stuff in the works for Pornoob, and I'm glad we're seeing other people who share our vision. With Pornoob we're more than just social network based around porn, our aim is to become a brand that end-users will trust. More importantly, re-gain the trust of all the users who got dealt bad hands in the past with previous adult content purchases.

On top of the many problems that this industry is facing, there is one that we have control over. This is how the end-user finds, views and purchases their adult content.

With so many sites out there that lead to desolate pages asking for credit card information, it isn't surprising that we see lost sales.

"What is this site? Can I trust it? I don't know. I'm not putting my CC into this."

A name is just a name, but a brand makes all the difference.
I'm happy to see a lot of you hop on the Pornoob wagon, and hope we can do some great things together.

What wrongful assumption are you talking about if you don't mind my asking?

I was simply saying that especially for a social media network of any kind (likely to be a big venture that you spent a decent amount to develop), quality of domain is really important despite what people may think. The only prominent social media site that's on a domain that arguably wasn't of premium quality at launch was YouTube (and MAYBE Orkut). MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Hi5, Bebo, SkyRock, Tagged, Fubar, even Twitter are all quality short names. I just think you could and should be using a better name, that's all. If you looked for one and tried to get something better but the best you could get was Pornoob, then not sure what to tell you. *shrug*

I'm of the belief that a domain can be the single best expense one can make for their site, especially a big venture. Good luck nonetheless - sorry if I hurt your feelings but as you can see, I'm not the only one not fond of the name...I'm just a bit more blunt about it because domains is what I do and seems like I see a lot of what appears to be people that don't take their domain/biz name decisions as seriously as the rest of their startup decisions. Cuil's a prime example...they could have ridden a huge wave of press if they had even a halfway decent name, but instead they made a bizarre name choice and have pretty much fallen by the wayside into the sea of unpopular search engines.
