It was actually the owner. He was having mental issues caused by drug abuse and had spread himself too thin what with the 36,000 square foot club and a Swingers Hotel in Palm Springs. He mistreated people like me, who were basically keeping everything together and running smoothly, to the point that it was impossible to continue. By about 05 he was trying to do stuff himself, doing it all wrong as he didn't actually have a clue about any actual 'business' aspect (He just turned up and screwed women like a single guy - A kid in a candy shop) and because of slipping standards and financial greed, bookings died off, attendance slumped and he was closed down by the City Of Los Angeles...

I was long gone by then, but at the point I was involved it was the largest 'Bricks and Mortar' Club, with the largest member base in California, and the Second largest in the USA.

But point I'm trying to make re lifestyle lounge, is that they are not an AFF type site with fake profiles etc. They are genuine swingers who attend events and more often than not are affluent enough to be able to travel all over the world - A goldmine of people if you can reach them with whatever you want to pitch to them.

Do you think that the term "swingers" has become dated and not used as much by younger couples? What is most common term for "swingers" when people are searching for other couples online?

Well in all honesty, I don't think I could really say that I ever was "IN' the lifestyle... As in did I think of myself as a swinger etc, then the answers no. Sure I had an open relationship, what with my wife doing all the porn etc, but I never really ever 'attended events' either mine or other peoples in the role of a participant. Sure I went to other clubs from time to time, when I was invited to see if I could give them any pointers or ideas etc, but even then, I was there in a professional capacity and not really in a swingers 'headspace' if you get me...

I mean sure, I was at the events to make sure they ran smoothly, but I was more concerned with logistics such as making sure the parking was being managed and the bar was stocked and the DJ was taking requests, and the 2nd supply of towels was on hand for when they needed replenishing etc etc etc... I never wandered about thinking - She Looks Fit - Lets have a fuck' lol

Looking back, perhaps I should have made a bit more of it for myself and taken advantage of some of the offers, but it was a full time thing. When the club wasn't being used as a club, it was a fully licensed 100% legitimate movie production studio, which was rented out to 3rd parties for filming. We were used as the base for when they shot the fire truck chase scene at the start of Terminator 3 - Stuff like that - So when it wasn't the weekend, there was still stuff that needed doing in order to operate the studios and get ready for the next weekend etc...

Thats an example of all the 'invisible' stuff I did that the owner wasn't aware of in his drug induced state... And why it all fell apart so quickly once I and a few other key workers moved on...

Dunno mate - Changes all the time. I think if you are looking to attract people genuinely into sex with multiple partners, but who also have money, then Id use lifestyle... Everyone knows what a 'Swinger' is, but I feel it has a bit of a connotation amongst younger couples as a term relating to older couples doing it.

Hell, we even had a splinter branch at my place, calling themselves 'The Sandbox Club' which were supposed to just be younger couples only, in a younger couples only environment. Even though I was technically 'Too Old' myself at the time, it didn't bother me, because again, although I was there, I wasn't interacting or trying to interact in any way either...

Funny thing was though, it all ended in a scandal, cause the guy of the couple who started it, turned out to be about 10 years older than he had let the girlfriend think he was, and in truth, he was only organising it to get the pick of the 18 year olds. Yet by his own rules, he wasn't even eligible for his own club !

I find that "Swingers" And "Swinger" Are very much still used by the demographic for a particular part of the lifestyle.

At least by those looking to actually spend money and go to large events and clubs and vacations.

Along with that "HotWife" and "Lifestyle" with LifeStyle being the hardest for search traffic.
