In the first case even though a settlement was paid the charges were still investigated by the sheriffs department. The inquiry was closed without charges being filed due to lack of evidence. In the second trial he was found innocent and as I recall had quite a few celebrities that testified that they were contacted by the family and asked for money.
As for my opinion I do not believe he molested those children. I do believe he behaved inappropriately. I believe MJ was a very broken person that never developed normally mentally or sexually. All you have to do is look at his history of self mutilation, and that is what all those surgeries were about, to see how much he hated himself. Its very sad that with all of his success, especially his early successes that no one stepped up and got him the mental help he needed. I think he was very troubled and very misunderstood.
He was found not guilty twice and that was after he paid off one family. He became a target after the 1st payoff.
