I get emails mostly from Indians, with (no subject) with no message in the body of the email. What gives? Is this the same as playing footsies in an airport bathroom stall? CurrentlySober, do you know?

Yes. They dont have anything particular in mind when they write the email. Except of course for scamming you in some way, but they obviously wont be putting that as a subject line.

I like how they leave it open for me to respond with whatever my interpretation may be. I suppose they're able to bypass any filters that way...
Oh, and I thought they wanted to be friends

That happens when when people try to outsource their scams . . . Indians dont seem to have the required phlegm for it.Comment

Yes, and it also puts you on the backfoot, because YOU are the one contacting THEM, so they know that they have a live active responsive person at the other end of the email
