Never been busted. Unless you're growing or selling mass quantities and on their radar, they don't give a shit. Not where I am at least.
They don't even bother to lock you up here with small amounts. Most of the time they take it (and probably smoke it themselves) while letting you off with a warning. The only time that happened, I was 17.
I can get quality buds from no less than 6 different people in the next hour. Delivered no less.
Coke is just as easy to get.

I love weed, although I quit because of a personal choice to do so. CALIFORNIA is about to literally go bankrupt. The politicians and lawmakers need to pull their heads out of their asses for Gods sake. alcohol... not 'hard', but not 'easy' to do - and really... most people who are proud of their homebrew (beer, wine, white lightning...) are delusional - most of it really sucks. So, its easy for a corp to take over and provide a standard product and submit governmental taxes.
weed... EASY to grow, thousands of strains to choose from, it all tastes good in the end. So, NOT easy for a corp to take it over and provide a (competitive) product the consumer will be satisfied with (and submit governmental taxes).
people can't make good cigs at home so its legal/controllable, people can't make good booze (generally) so its legal/controllable, people CAN EASILY make their own good weed so its illegal/uncontrollable
hence - weed will not become legal (in most places)
sure wish it was thobelieve me - without free porn, just as many people will seek porn out on the Internet, and many more will pay if there is no free alternative, its not like sex is a fad - it can be milked much like any renewable resource - long term
