    Business OVH Cloud suspended account and 4 servers

    Hello everyone, just want to caution you, today OVHcloud was suspended our account without any notice. We just received four emails what our four servers was suspended.
    Few hours I was tried to understand wtf. Was sent a lot of emails, call to OVH CA, sent DM to twitter and FB.
    After, I was received next email:

    We have received a credible report from US authorities of child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") hosted on your servers. Such illegal content is a violation of Section 7(b) of the OVHcloud Terms of Service and grounds for your immediate termination under Section 9(b) of the Terms of Service.

    Due to the severity of the incident, OVHcloud has terminated your account.

    As provided in Section 9(c) of the Terms of Service, as a result of your termination, your OVHcloud Services will cease functioning immediately and you will not be able to access any of your user data. All such user data will be destroyed. Due to your failure to comply with the Terms of Service, OVHcloud is under no obligation to extend your ability to access the OVHcloud Services following your termination.

    Our decision is final and is not subject to appeal.
    So... We are tube aggregator like ixxx com, we are not hosted any videos we just collect and sort links to videos from tubes like xvideos, beeg, xhamster, pornhub etc.

    I was asked to show URLs of forbidden content and give us some time to download all data from our servers, but received this answer:

    As provided in our prior email, following the termination of your account for violating the Terms of Service, OVHcloud is not obligated to provide you with access to the data stored on the servers which you had subscribed to. Our decision to terminate your account is final.
    Is it okay if hosting provider didn't show you abuse URLs and didn't give you 24 hours to solve problem and terminate your account ?

    What we can do? Anyone has OVHCLOUD contacts?

          It was our main hosting company, thumbs, DB, back-end and front-end...
          All backups also was at this data center and server with backups was terminated.

              It's not legal to erase all your content like that but you will just waste your time and money suing them.

                  That all sucks but that is one of the dangers of giving your content control over to a third party.

                      Yes but he is scraping xvideos, pornhub and other major tubes. They control their content.

                          But they don't always control it so well, ya know. There have been posts on here about people seeing illegal content on various tubes.

                          While I would think that the host should check and see if the content was actually hosted on their server, sometimes it just doesn't work like that.

                          I have the same issue with my cam sites. I have to be concerned that my sponsors are doing their due diligence to ensure that the performers are legal.

                          Like I say, danger of having a third party control your content.

                                  They still shouldn't have erased all his sites.

                                  If They were hosting a big mainstream tube like dailymotion and someone uploaded illegal content, OVH wouldn't have erased the whole site without notice.

                                          That sucks bro. I would be flipping shit. I hope you (and other readers) learned a valuable lesson here.

                                          My basic rule of thumb is I never keep the domain, hosting & backups of a site at the same company. All 3 have to be in different locations in order for me to sleep well.

                                          Also, back up to personal hard drive.

                                          I don't care about any company's awesome reputation, I'm only throwing one egg in that basket.

                                              Good ideas, also good to keep a backup VPS ready to go and running so you just and to swap the DNS and upgrade the plan handle the bandwidth.

And that was not a darknet site etc. That was a regular .com site. They were selling videos via a filelocker. I haven't downloaded them of course but I've seen the preview screenlists. The site was reported and now it's gone (that was quick). But I don't know how many such sites are still online and how tube owners must be desperate to earn on such pop-ups. So when the legal adult is dead (it can't be monetized IMHO), the illegal shit literally pops up in the net.

                                                  P.S. Yet another example. Was zoo easily available about 10 years ago? Now Google shows it in SERP's left and right. It's not a crime in my country, but in the USA it's barely legal. Just for a note: Google is the US-based company... Sometimes ago fake rape videos were banned by all billing companies. Now kink sells them openly.

                                                  That is very scary when the big guys are not handling their due diligence properly and affiliates are embedding those vids into their sites.

                                                  That is what it sounds like happened to the OP. Something in one of the feeds was bad enough that the Feds hit OVH up over it.

                                                      Question is, did ovh give them your info? Are they tracking you down as we speak? Blindly rehosting thumbs was a big mistake.

                                                          There is a reason why i promote adult friendly hosts, liike mojohost, vacares and m3server, and this is exactly the reason. Almost every host which is not adult focused will rather kill your server instantly then bother with your explanations.
