    how the fuck did he go from the young guy in apocalypse now(1979), to charlie sheens old gnarley dad in wall street(1987) in only 8 years?

          Didn't he have a heart attack while filming apocalypse now? The guy partied hard during his younger days.

                                      In 1976 Martin Sheen was already in his late 30s when filming began on Apocalypse Now. Check him out in a movie called 'Badlands' if you haven't already. That and 'Apocalypse Now' are his two best films.
