    lol Well since I shoot more b & w I dial down the on camera flash quite a bit depending on distance. Getting ready to go shoot some more wee! Got in at 5am last night lol.

        You really should move up to the D90. And if you can't, get a used D80. That will allow you to shoot older AF-D lenses, which are basically still awesome, but since they're not AF-S, they don't autofocus on the D40/D60/D5000.

        I don't think you need the 70-200/2.8 at all. And since you don't want to spend more than $1000, it's not even an option. For around half the price you can get a new 80-200/2.8 AF-D. Awesome lens. $915 from Adormama.

        But again, 50mm/1.8 is what I use for concert/performance photography. And my images rock.
        I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I wish I was drinking wine instead.

                get the D90 with the 18-105mm vr cost is $1150 then sell your D60 for around $650-$700. Then you have a better camera, better lens for around $600 for an upgrade.

                        I've got some shots tonight that you will not believe came out of a d60 trust me. Too drunk to edit them right now, and Im home REALLY early at 2am tonight, but needed to save up some energy for the rest of this weekend. This whole week has been nuts. lol Gold Slauger, vodka and redbull, vodka and craneberry, fuck who knows what else I drank tonight, but before I got plastered I know I took some amazing shit. Using a small tripod for bunch of skyline shots, long open shutter shots using 10 second timer no flash. Im blown away that I shot some of this. lol

                                        I haven't hit the Pathenon yet, but Ill probably do that eventually, just want to do it differently than most. Did an artist shoot last night at the Wildhorse actually one of my buddies that got signed to Sony and is out doing the radio station tour thing now, and opening for bigger artists. His album comes out in a few months and my best friend and cowriter has 2 cuts on that album and looks like both are going to be singles.

                                        Throw another one, I didn't quite get this one the way I wanted, but it came out pretty cool none the less.
