Tech Can you Confirm Emails Addresses Without...

I am hoping to buy a few K email addresses - It seems a good price but I am not really a mailer...

I have asked for a sample to test - I think there was a way of checking for bad emails without sending and waiting for bounces?....

Or am I imagining things again?..

Any other 'due diligence' you can think of before I buy?....

Don't do it. Mailing isn't as easy as you think.

This is illegal. If you email contacts you purchased, you do not have the legal right to email them.

The ESPs will know. The ESPs are very, very smart, and they will know right out of the gate that you do not have permission to email that list. How do they know? Simple. You have a list of 10k people and you email it. A week later that same exact list gets email again by someone else. Right there they know... And I am sure they share that data with other ESPs.

Google has contacted us before and told us that we have someone on our platform using a stolen list.

Not sure about that, there is constant leaks of webmaster/media buyers e-mail contacts and some companies not just sending e-mail but even put you on their newsletter without asking, and i dont see them punished for it.
