The speed was 75 and it dropped to 65, the cop was sitting right there at the sign Then the rain came down so hard I couldn't understand what he was yelling at me. Off into the rin I went back to his car and told him i didn't think he should have endangered my life by having me walk on the highway in the rain (LOL) he said I should have thought of that when I chose to do 89 in a 65.
So I have to slow down, I don't know why I just have that speed in my blood or something.Comment

Speeding is the one traffic offense that some of us have no control over.
Stop at stop signs? No problem
Yield to the car on the right? No problem.
Pull to the side for emergency vehicles? No problem
Go the speed limit? Even if I see them right behind me I have to fight it, and will see what I can get away with at times.Comment

Naw, I gotta add failing to stop at stop signs to the list of tough to control issues. I see drivers roll right through stop signs all day long (usually while talking on cells). And they seldom look both ways for pedestrians crossing.
I even see them do it at 4-way stop sign intersections where a police cruiser is directly across from them - like they don't even know any better.Comment

I got lucky last week rushing to get to work...I was going 50 MPH in a 35 MPH. The cop pulled me over and asked for my license, I pulled out a PBA card that one of my Handball friends gave me who is a leutenient...haded both the PBA card and drivers license to him and asked nicely for a break. He asked me who is the officer to me...and said my cousin. He went back to his car with my license...about 5 minutes later...handed me back my license...told me to slow down...and said by the way Happy Birthday.
Yes I got pulled over on my birthday, but I am not sure if he let me off due to my birthday or the PBA card that is signed by my cop friend.

Careful you are almost out of gas hehe I got pulled over after being clocked at over 150. Long story short cop was a drinking buddy of mine (this was back in PA smaller town) and gave me a 15 min lecture about scraping me off the side of the highway. He clocked me after I had already left off the gas some so was closer to 160 I am sure. Spedo was buried so no telling lol.Comment

I am going on 20 years without a speeding ticket. I mean how fucking hard is it to pay attention to what you are doing behind the wheel. If you are that absentminded you shouldn't be driving anyways.
I love to listen to people who whine and bitch about how some "prick" cop gave them a ticket for whatever reason and act like they had nothing to do with it. The funniest part is when you hear how they reacted to the cop by showing them or going off on them or being a dick to them when the chances are they might not have gotten that ticket if they hadn't mouthed off or tried to tell the cop how to do his job. It is simply ridiculous and frankly quite stupid.
I honestly do not see how those type of people rationalize their lives and behavior. But then again see avatar.
BTW... I was pulled over taking my son to school this morning and not only did I not have my drivers license on me but I also didn't get a ticket. Why? Because I gave him the info he needed and was polite. I have been pulled over and let go more times than I have been pulled over and ticketed.

The truth is if the cops pulled you over, they pulled you over for a reason. When I get on the freeway I'm amazed by the lack of breaking distance, tailgating, etc. Yesterday while at a stop line I was amazed about people crossing the intersection at 70mph only to come to complete stop not too much longer when two lanes went down into one.
On the freeway under normal conditions I never get tickets. I keep proper breaking distance, and if someone is going faster than me I get the fuck out of the way. All of the tickets I've gotten have been because I'm being a jackass.Herschel Savage

First, to use radar there must have been a survey done within the last seven years. (5 for some states). You can go to the Engineering office and ask them for it. If it doesn't exist or is too old, request a certified copy and bring it to court. Instant dismissal.
Next, I live in Chino. It is about 20 miles away from San Bernardino where the Court of the County Seat is located. In California and most other states you can request that your case be heard in this court. In my case the officer most likely won't drive to San Bernardino for one ticket when he can do 40 in one day in Chino's court.Comment

Got ya, I just have such a hard time with speed. I can be driving and look down and boom I'm going way over the speed limit. When we came home from Atlanta TF was holding the thingie ( on the roof) and said "Hunny I think you were supposed to be a race car driver, you're doing 110"

The only time I was ever pissed about getting pulled over was by a rookie cop who chose to bust my balls for 45 minutes. He pulled me over for not being able to see my temp tag (valid reason). After he saw all my paperwork was in order he started to grill me about whether there were weapons in the car, anything that can perceived as a weapon, did I have drugs in the car, had I been drinking ect. When I explained to him I had just got done bartending and was just heading home he started insisting that ALL bartenders drink when they work. He was just being a dick.ICQ# 419 775 271

The street by my place is a winding four lane divided road through a residential neighborhood which includes a school zone. The speed limit is 35 mph. Most people do at least 50 mph. I've seen a few do about 100 mph usually late at night. Every so often a motorcycle cop sits out there and writes tickets non stop all day long.
There is a sidewalk next to the road that I use to walk my dog along with kids going to school and people out for exercise. In the past three months at least three cars have lost control and spun out over the sidewalk. One took down a sign. One hit a power pole and one just slid into a hedge. Thankfully no pedestrian was hurt but I fear it's only a matter of time.Comment

I am pretty good at avoiding tickets but on occasion I get nabbed. Oddly enough its when I am not trying to go fast (like playing in my vette or stang) its always when just cruising in traffic in my truck or cross over.
The last ticket I received was when another car passed me. The trooper pulled us both over. Got me for a 70 and the other guy for 73 in a 55. Stupid ticket and a waste of time. I bring an attorney to traffic court and get it thrown out.Living in Virtual Reality
