Womens studies?? Really? Did you even bother to do a touch of research on what job that might bring you.
How about go back and get a teaching certificate. Then debt solved. YOU CAN TEACH womens studies get paid more than the average teacher because of the masters and they have a debt forgiveness program for teachers.
They kind of are. I mean, just because you go to college and get a degree in women's studies doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get a job.
Nothing in life is guaranteed.
do you think its only people with womens studies degrees that can't find work?
science, journalism, sociology, teaching, nursing all used to be obtainable jobs that paid really well but baby boomers working into their 70's along with giant conglomerates buying up industries in record numbers and laying people off in record numbers the jobs simply aren't there anymore, and if they are? they pay much less than they used to. Automation and poor degree choices are only part of the problem.

But. better to bitch about it.
man that's brilliant. how many jobs like that specifically are available in the US at this moment? 4?
Look at your average boomer in america, they benefited massively from the USA's geopolitical position post-world war 2, then they benefited massively from the creation of the petrodollar system in the 70's, then they benefited massively from the tech boom in the 90's and 00's. you couldn't have picked a luckier time/place to be born than the united states in the 50's
Yet, ask any of them how they got where they got, they're gonna tell you "hard work" and that other countries and generations of people just need to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" and "work harder" and "grow up"
it's just natural human behavior, we believe we are entitled to and deserve what we have and more, and very few of us have any empathy for those with less

Yep,back in the day there were free public colleges. When I was a kid you could deliver pizza's for the summer and pay for the college year. My friend talks all these kids are entitled. The state school that cost him 3k a year that he paid for working a part-time job, now costs 15 k a year. But those kids are entitled. lol I see help wanted ads to work the front desk at fucking mailboxes etc and the bachelor's degree is preferred. I worked a gm made $11 an hour with no experience and I could afford a decent apartment, a car and some money in my pocket for fun. I wouldn't want to be a kid now. lol

what really kills me is that baby boomers created via their parenting practices a generation of soft, weak people who are triggered by everything and can't function in the real world--all the while voting/supporting short-term profits at the expense of long-term prosperity (offshoring manufacturing, trickle-down economics, ignoring climate change)...and then turn around and call them "entitled"...you raised these kids! you fucked up the world they're inheriting from you! Take some responsibility! but no, it's just "kids are entitled because of cell phones and internet and social media"...
by the way, who created internet and cell phones and social media in the first place?
IMO the entitled ones are the ones who got free college, cheap houses, well-paying jobs with no education required, and then point their finger at a generation who got none of these things.
I had a GF in the service industry for a while--she said the most unpleasant people to serve are young attractive women and baby boomers. Why you think that is? Spoiler, it's because both groups had everything go their way in life and became entitled cunts because of it.

So your GF thinks just because a female customer is good looking or attractive then everything in that persons life went their way? That's the most ignorant comment. I bet you're also the type of person who puts down attractive people, guys and women.

that's not the point but OK
the most self-entitled shitty people to deal with are (according to one anecdotal experience) baby boomers and attractive young women...and I believe it; it matches my experiences. Maybe I'm wrong about why, but does it matter?

I thought I was reading a Crockett post for a minute. Same ignorance level.

Dude we are on "fucking around" and program discussion so it was a little "tongue-in-cheek," but let's not pretend these people do not exist.
If you're going to go to school you better pick a field of study that has some job prospects open. You have to plan accordingly. How many kids go to school not having any clue and get a liberal arts degree and are bartending 5 years later?
Just because you go to school and get a diploma doesn't mean you're guaranteed a job.
