Nop. Andreas trying to make it mainstream show, but it still mostly adult show, with mostly adult people related to content production and similar stuff. Anyway, check the attendee list, and you will see.

Will do and will go will try to figure out how to improve my Alexa by increasing traffic and generally see what other content producers are doing. We make all our movies and sell them from our VOD site. We also run 50,000 sq foot 4 stage film studio....heck that should be mainstream enough

It's just the name of the show, it most certainly isn't strictly for affiliates. If you have a paysite you'd be wise to consider attending as there's plenty of value to be had (same for Webmaster Access), including B2B deals and networking with other paysite owners. What's your paysite?

btw. i was never there for finding affiliates as i do not have any affiliate program.
but the TES shows always made me good money and helped me to understand the directions the market goes.

i missed out a lot of other shows but i think not one of the TES shows since the 1st one in ME hotel in barcelona (where i got one of my best alcohol poisonings of my life)

I went to TES Prague back in 2016 and got one of my two payment processors as a result. Also had a few other meetings but not much came out of those. Since I am in Prague most of the time, it is only a tram ticket to attend. But still time is of an essence.

I do have some sort of affiliate program, but have found that:

1) most are pirates
2) some signed up but did NOT deliver anything.

So now, I just rely on Direct, Organic, e Mail and some Tubes referral traffic.

And as to my alcohol poisoning story?

Opposite from yours. This really happened about 15 years ago at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes during the Festival...( Yes, I also have mainstream film business ). A buddy of mine bought me a " Bacardi Coke", I have complained that there was too much Bacardi, but did bought him some the same night. The next night he insisted that he buys all the drinks.Since he made some sort of big business deal that day, I've said why not have him buy me ( at that time 20 Euros a pop) some Bacardi Cokas. After 8 or 9 of them, I was so "hammered" that my then employess had to walk me to my flat ( thank God only a few meters away). The next day I did walk in again and the bartender poured me a plain coke even though I have ordered Bacardi with it. Then I have noticed that some of the regulars giggling....True story ! My buddy the night before ordered the Bacardi Cokas, like this..." Double Bacardi for me, plain Coke for him"

So I have almost got alcohol poisoning by drinking plain Coke... For a few years after every time I have walked into the Martinez bar I was asked : " Sir, do you want also Bacardi with your Bacardi Coke?"

I never worked with you, so perhaps you did have all of these things setup properly

But to get good affiliates you also need to provide a good program
If there arent any good converting landers or proper tools/proper data and proper support then the affiliates that do have high quality traffic wont promote you ofcourse.

(i am an fulltime affiliate, The difference in conversion between programs is insane, same traffic, same niche, 2 different programs you can easily have a 30* difference in EPC)

So if i test a new program and it does not convert the way i want, i stop promoting them ofcourse

point taken....we were using iDef with all the right tools, but after several sites used our free materials ( clips and pictures) to push our website content right into the hands of various file sharing sites ( to get our full stolen content) and then expected for us to pay them for conversions.We did stop this nonsense.

You could use "invite-only" or "reference system" approach to minimize such abuse.
Invite only where you can send e-mail to selected webmaster, and reference system where affiliate would need to provide 2 references from established programs.

THIS is the way to do biz in these days.
too many fraudsters out there - no matter with what you try to make money.

and THIS is exactly the reason why you need an eye-to-eye-network.
I think I know around 95% of my business partners personally and some I knew for 10 or 15 years already when we started to make biz together.
