    Adult Dating Conversions Going to Hell?

    Hi,

    I've been actively promoting adult dating via PPC and SEO for multiple sponsors. Since about 4 weeks, all the conversions are decreasing big time. Free joins have been stable, but the conversion from free to paid has been going to hell. I'd say about 40% decrease.

    What are other people doing adult dating seeing?

                  We already promote them, but their conversion has been decreasing as well. Not as much as the rest, but as well.

                  Not sure if you're promoting Fling, SexSearch and Friendfinder as well. But I'd like to know how their conversion is for you with targeted traffic like yours.

                  P.S. We've done a review of XXXBlackbook a while ago, and I have to say their website is top notch. Blows the competition away by far. Plus their team as great!

                          Actually SexSearch is our biggest client, Friendfinder comes in 2nd followed by fling and blackbook.

                          But it seems SexSearch is in the biggest downfall conversion wise.. but you're not experiencing that?

                                                      You are seeing the same % drops across all of your dating sponsors? I haven't seen any evidence of this on our end overall, especially from PPC/SEO.

                                                                  I don't see how you can do well with sexsearch, they convert free to paid more then 4x worse then almost any other sponsor. Free to Paid is not all that bad but good luck sending 5k uniques and making decent money with them.

                                                                          A 40% drop is HUGE. Overall stats are looking good for us. Personally speaking, last two days have been my best this month.

                                                                          I'm not saying this so you join us (there are lots of other good sponsors in this thread, too) but you should honestly review your own stuff. Sounds like something is broken. Same thing happens to me all the time.

                                                                                  I have been doing some tests lately,

                                                                                  and it does seem a lot slower.

                                                                                  The free joins remain consistent, but conversions are pretty relaxed right now.

                                                                                  I have been doing tests on SexSearch and Ulust for a minute now, and all of these inconsistencies are really making it difficult to gauge long term productivity. Especially if it isn't something customized.

                                                                                  I have also tried some ppc testing.. and all I can say is that this doesn't seem like a wise choice for adult dating in terms of conversions. I'm sure there are some good performing keywords but if your even slightly off the relativity of the subject with your kw's, you will get an ungodly amount of free joins that do not convert to paid

                                                                                  I'm just not used to waiting on sales to gauge productivity either, is there some kind of formula you can go by to ensure your not flying off into the red?

                                                                                      Well, DatingGold never sees 40% drops. That would be an impossibly huge amount. I promote every sponsor going even though I work for DG and DG is consistently my top sponsor and has been for about half a decade.

                                                                                      Having said that I experience drops myself but never as high as 40%. Since I probably promote is different ways to you its impossible for me to say how you can fix the problem. All I can suggest is that it must be something your end because 40% across the board is just too much for it not to be.

                                                                                      I remember experiencing a drop in sales when I was a noob. It turned out I'd forgotten to renew a domain lol

                                                                                      So...for the record I wasnt talking about Dg experiencing a drop in sales. I was talking about myself. It usually means I fucked up somewhere.

                                                                                                  This has exactly been our problem as of lately, which is so weird because SexSearch has continued to BEAT every other sponsor for us. ..until a few weeks ago. Not sure what is going on over there..

                                                                                                  But under 10 sales on 4k of PPC traffic is ridiculous. Free joins (our secondary KPI) have remained steady over the past weeks.

                                                                                                  I'm ready to try some other offers.

There are always some affiliates that have conversions go down but we are pretty much on par or better then we converted 6 months ago. Try us out. In the case of Fling, it went to 1:6xx in one period to 1:2898 right now. THREE emails asking for support went unanswered. An email to the webmaster was replied to with "I'll get back to ya today". Never heard back.

                                                                                                                              My average on free to pay was about 1:13 to 1:18 for a long while on dating. Now 1:50 is more typical.

                                                                                                                              So the logical answer is spread the traffic around and see which two or three come up with the best stats.

                                                                                                                                                          I was almost done with my sexsearch testing and right before I was about to take the plunge and really start sending it some traffic things got cut in half.

                                                                                                                                                          My free to paid ratio went from about 1:13 to 1:40.

                                                                                                                                                          The only reason it bothers me even a little bit is because how consistent it was before, I thought my feedback was solid enough to commit, and now I have to do more testing
