Perhaps an idea for a sister thread to this one... covers that failed in their attempts at remakes?
There'd be no shortage when ytou have bands like Quiet Riot remaking Slade's originals, or Great White attempting to redo Ian Hunter's 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy'. I bet there's no shortage of examples.
