1 in 10,000.. yeah I'd still take that risk if I had the money for it. Sad story though.Comment

I'm in the same boat. I've gone for 2 consults, spoke to several friends who have had it with 0 issues. Just worried about the "what if" just as you are. I don't want to become part of the complications statistic
-7 in my left eye and -6.50 in my right...it would certainly be nice to wake up in the morning and be able to see without fumbling for my glasses or holding my phone 3cm from my face to see it clearly.Comment

My dad had it and wasn’t depressed. He did, however, wear clear plastic lenses since he’d worn glasses for seventy years. He couldn’t adjust to no glasses.
I’d do it but only have clear vision in one eye. Due to the detached retina, the results may cause me to lose all sight in that eye. Now it’s clear and sharp but distorted badly. Either way I’m legally blind in that eye. I’m not sure I should take the chance
No surgery is guaranteed. Suicide sounds crazy if you get your site back but emotionally it affects you. Give someone money for a study and they’ll find a new reason for suicide. Next week they’ll say it’s a female broken toe because they find we don’t feel sexy after breaking a toe.*****************************************
Anti-Semites have Small Penis Syndrome. The only known treatment is electroshock therapy combined with cerebellum removal. Fortunately, it’s a tiny procedure.

In the cases of suicides, it was a combination of the intense pain and also having to put eyedrops in your eyes every 5 minutes to stop your vision going blurred.

That's a lot of tragedies, most with the rare complication would do anything to revert the operation and get their "old" eyes back. It makes you think.
Doctors ignoring worried patients, down playing symptoms are pure scum and up there somewhere with criminals.
Similar eye sight numbers as me and I know the feeling all too well.I'm in the same boat. I've gone for 2 consults, spoke to several friends who have had it with 0 issues. Just worried about the "what if" just as you are. I don't want to become part of the complications statistic

I was similar in my left, but better in my right. Woke up the next day near perfect. Day 2 and since 98% I would say. They said I might need a touch up again in a few years. Could have done it now, but they said might as well wait to get a bit older, since its close to perfect now anyways.I'm in the same boat.
