Good advice. I bike for fun mostly, so I bought a store-brand / no-name bike for a couple of hundred dollars. Some spend thousands on a bike because they are super light and meet all kinds of specs a pro biker wants, but for me I'm happy with "just a bike". Buy a bike that suits your lifestyle.
