Daddy Trump now wants to ban encryption

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-adm...151650158.html

Red Hats will be over joyed to make excuses for Daddy Trump and government wanting to ban encryption..

Let's hear the excuses of why it's ok now that the govt can violate your privacy. Not to mention how unsecure that would make everything that needs encryption to be secured.

I'm sure all those white nationalists chatting on whatsapp will will support this...
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Yes but haven't you figured out that they don't think any laws pertain to them. They'll happy ban something but continue to use it themselves because the laws are not for them..

What? No, that would never happen.

You can't because like 95% of things Leftists whine about, it's not true. But in your case, its usually 99%.

If you need to lie day in and day out to make a point ... then you have no legitimate point to make.

Australia is now the first Western nation to ban security, following a decision by its parliament to pass a bill forcing companies to hand over encrypted data to police upon demand. The government will be allowed to demand this without judicial review or oversight of any kind, beyond the requirement to get a warrant in the first place. Furthermore, the law requires corporations to build tools to give them the ability to intercept data sought by police when such tools do not already exist.

BUT.. Its gets even better ;) and the sneaky Aussies on behalf of the Kiwis have slipped it in. Many right-wing groups were recently listed here as terrorist organisations. Keep that in mind

"Australian leader Scott Morrison secures G20 deal to block violent terrorism on Facebook and social media"

                    https://www.smh.com.au/politics/fede...29-p522kv.html

"G20 puts pressure on the companies to act immediately when contacted by authorities to remove terrorist content such as the live video of an attack or other violent posts that seek to spread terror or recruit followers."

Here's a question for ya tough-guy: If Trump were to announce that he was banning encryption tomorrow, would you stand up and yell Maga and do a 'jig? Or would you maybe consider taking your Maga hat off and say "Hey now, wait a darn' tootin' minute here..." ?

                        What would you do?

I might be OK with it if we start with Trump Enterprises. LOL

                                It's all talk.
No biz could stand for it. If you think China is stealing from you now... WOW!
Let's open the door for everyone.

Besides, not all encryption looks the same. It would be like guns. Make a law and have a dozen ways around it if you want.
I knew this would be a problem many years ago and have my own forms of encryption.
Hard to decode if you don't even know what you are looking at. But I would be a criminal I guess.

Let's put some perspective on it....
You can anonymously give money to support a campaign to send a message (true or not), but you might need to be afraid to speak your political views because anyone can read them ?

                                How do you spell D A N G E R O U S

One would think all of those that are afraid of big brother spying would be upset on that talk. Guess not.

Probably seems like fake news since FOX is not saying a word so far. Hmmm....

Senior Trump administration officials met on Wednesday to discuss whether to seek legislation against encryption Politico reports. No conclusion has been reached by the group, which is said to have included “No. 2 officials from several key agencies.”

Think what this would do to BITCOIN ! Yippy !

Notice the #1 officials are not there. They would be tarnished for life.
