    Trump didn't say he would accept foreign help in 2020

    Yes of course he did, but what he actually said was much worse. No foreign country is going to make up fake dirt to help him get election for no benefit of their own. They will expect something in return..

    What Trump really said is he is willing to betray our country if it helps him get elected. Trump is 100% full blown traitor. If it wasn't clear enough before he came right out and said it himself..

              Opposition research is just that. Research. It's a self commissioned act and is an accepted political tactic.

              When a foreign power (especially an adversarial one) contacts you with information, that is not opposition research. That means they're asking for something in return for their help. Another word for it is "compromise".

              The two scenarios shouldn't be conflated.
