    Crazy that she actually refers to them as "American" families. No, they're illegal families that shouldn't be using our resources for housing. They should be thrown out immediately and not given (3) 6 month deferments to find another place!

                                                                      When the Democrats are in power we don't have any issues. Our immigration system is properly staffed and runs, more or less, without issues. Our last President deported more illegal immigrants than another president.

                                                                      Under Trump..... Arrests are down, illegal immigration is way up, and we are separating kids from their families - not just for a few weeks or even a few months, but separating them from their families for the rest of their lives.

Those who entered the US illegally were not always arrested, some were arrested, shouldn't the President and Congress be fighting to stop illegal immigration? As for tightening up the rules on who can come legally, that's good and saying it's bad is wrong.

                                                                                                                                  As Trump doesn't personally deport people, how much of this is down to other people?

                                                                                                                                  Walls are harder to climb than fences, so replace the fences with walls. Really crack down on people employing and renting to illegal immigrants. Remove children of immigrants from schools, take away the rights of illegals to free medical healthcare. This might get the message through to them that they are not welcome and need to get out.

Obviously before the measures are introduced as many as possible will try to get in, that's the way the world works.

                                                                                                                                              The long term effect must be better than doing nothing and some advocate that. Do they say that making every thing better for illegals will reduce the numbers?

                                                                                                                                              The problem is some only look at the messenger and never the message. Then make up their own narrative to support their views. Consecutive Presidents have done nothing, even encouraged illegal immigration by giving amnesty, driving licenses, healthcare, schooling, etc. Some authorities are giving accommodation while Americans are living on the streets, all illegal immigrants are in a job an American could do if only the employer paid enough.

                                                                                                                                              As for picking fruit and vegetables, how do you think a country like Australia gets it done with their strict immigration policy? Stillthis can be done with legal immigrants who are vetted and controlled with only the pickers coming in for a short season. As for other jobs, Americans did them a very short while ago and will do them again, if employers paid a decent wage.

                                                                                                                                              And that's what illegal immigration and globalisation is all about. Keeping down the wages of the many so the few can benefit and as everyone here is part of the many you pay the price if only in the debt of America.

                                                                                                                                              Yes it's far worse in Europe but not in Czech, Poland, Hungary and a few other countries illegal immigrants don't want to go to.
