My fucking god.... These guys call me at least four or five times a week. I've even told them that I don't own a car or that I was in a huge car accident and lost my legs, and yet they still call me.

Fuckers. Rot in hell.
Yeah, I am not sure why this is still legal. It is the same as spam but more aggressive and obtrusive IMHO.
"The towers are gone now, reduced to bloody rubble, along with all hopes for Peace in Our Time, in the United States or any other country. Make no mistake about it: We are At War now -- with somebody -- and we will stay At War with that mysterious Enemy for the rest of our lives." H.S.T. 09/12/01

It's worse than spam.
Imagine if someone called you and told you that your insurance is about to expire and if you don't pay them right now than your coverage cancels and reverts to a higher price, or something similar. Scams like this can easily take advantage of someone...

especially older people. hell the first time i got the call i thought it might be legit since i have a warrenty for the car i bought a couple years ago.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..
I just seen a bit on these companies on the today show a week or so back.
Not only are they annoying, but extremely fraudulent!
Apparently the employees are trained to lie to the customer and entice them into buying their shit when in fact their "warranty" dosnt cover shit let alone stand up to the factory warranty.
Something about the owner of the company building his brand new 10 million dollar estate while refusing to comment on the ethics of his business.

I have a similar situation. I bought my vehicle a year ago and I thought it might have made sense. Until the lady on the other end basically started yelling at me, LOL.

I canceled that shit on my truck, was refunded $4000.00. Since then, I have been receiving a letter a week, and at least 3 phone calls minimum about it for 2 years! All automatons.
We started getting the phone calls a couple of years ago after buying a car. When the person on the other end could not tell me what kind of car I just bought, I smelled something fishy and told them I would call the dealership that sold me the warranty to find out what was up. They hung up on me.
Hooray that someone is finally doing something.

My phone hardly ever rings. Probably because whenever someone asks for my number, I tell them i dont have a phone... while they stare at the cell phone in my hand.
Another thing is when you say "hello?" and someone instantly tries to confirm who you are. I always say, I'm sorry but who are you please and why do you want to know who I am? They're usually stumped, it's pretty funny. But I wont continue with the call unless I know who's calling. Call me crazy.
It's sad really, people used to take pride in being polite.
been getting calls non stop from them since i switched from verizon to ATT, pretty annoying but its fun to mess with them. especially if you tell them to tell you what kind of car you have, since theyre the ones who called you.

I've been getting these car warranty calls on my cell in Canada for the past 6-8 months. I just play with them and waste their time; gives me a good chuckle.
I had anther telemarketer calling trying to sell me doors and windows. I told him my house doesn't have any doors or windows. He asked me how I got into my house and I told him "through a hole in the ground". Classic silence on the other end.
Got a call yesterday telling me I had offered to donate clothing and a pickup was scheduled for today. Told the lady she must be mistaken as "I don't wear clothes; I'm a full time nudist." She didn't know how to respond
It does suck when your in the middle of something though.
It's about time! Could these calls be any more lame!
My 17 year old son without a car is even getting these calls. That's some really targetted marketing!

I did that once to a chick I didn't like, and then the phone in my pocket rang!
excellent! i kept reporting them to DoNotCall each time
maybe it finally worked LOL

I don't even answer my home phone any more. This "do not call list" is worthless. i do get a lod of mail from those guys.
Unscrupulous telemarketers won't honor the DNC list.... which is why the FTC can sue their asses into oblivion. Don't worry about it, and keep signing up your numbers into the Do Not Call registry.
I haven't bothered to ever listen long enough to get the whole schpeel. First time they ever called the guy comes on the phone and says "this is about your automobile warranty, please hold on the line while I get your information"
I am 95% sure they are at this again. I just got a phone call... same exact protocol... about my "credit cards." My banks don't play this sort of game so it wasn't them.

"Rachel" (also Heather) from "Cardholder Services" is the most prolific and hard to trace or block phone spammers. Last I checked, they thought it originated in canada, but not sure. I had a blitz of them right around the last week of the year. There is no hope to be removed, just hanging up is about the best you can do.
