Here in California we have the high speed rail project... They've been talking about it for years but it's been constantly under attack for legal and financial reasons. It's such shame too.

Here in FL we had a high speed rail proje t that had been worked on for years. All the property was bought, it was paid for then Republican Rick Scott the former FL Govoner killed it..out of the blue..

Then a year later we find out he is invested in a private company that is trying to take control from the state that very project.. Rick Scott is now a US senator.. a corrupt piece of shit.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Didn't China pull out of that deal in California a few years ago. I was involved with a company here in Maine that had a connection with the Chines government and was told they withdrew funding from the California HSR deal ?

To be honest after dealing with the states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont i can 100% understand why they would want to remove the states DOT and MOT from any dealings with rail. From my experience trying to get passenger and industrial cargo lines repaired and reopened here it's a fucking nightmare. It's like trying to deal with 5 year olds who's only concern is for their huge paycheck and not having to lift a finger to earn it !

This goes much further than Trump. It's something they've been working on for twenty years and it still hasn't happened. Cost is one issue, but finding the space is another.

They built a ten mile freeway bypass in my hometown here, meaning they moved the freeway a few miles... And had to build seventeen bridges to do it. Can you imagine how much money this would cost?
