Hosting - Looking for hosting, can you beat my current price?

I need new hosting. Current host is great but I want to see if I can get a better price. Do not ICQ me. Either post here your price and configuration or send me an Email to vrocks on my gmail account.

My server is around 5 years old:

Xeon Dual 2.4GHz (As in two chips on 1 motherboard)
1 Gig Ram
70 Gig HD
100 mbps port
8 mbps transfer

What can you do that is the same or better and for what price?

Don't ask me the price you are trying to beat. I don't want $1 less or $25 less... I want to see what you guys can do to make me leave a solid host.

Note: You also must make the server compatible with the current scripts, etc that I have so basically it will be 100% running just the way it is now when we are done. If that will cost more I need to know.

I would need my old stuff moved and recreated on your server.

Why not just ask them for a lower price? I did.

Am I just going to go back to them with the lower price and you guys submitted for nothing? No. I don't work that way. I don't like to play games either so if I have to play the game I might as well make the moves to right?

Also month to month.. No long term contracts or shit. I don't plan on going any where but if your support is non-existent or it seems like your admins can't get my shit working correctly why would I stay?

Forcing a host to give you the world but can only earn your biz by being the cheapiest kid on the block is useless to a host. Well maybe there are a few that don't understand basic business principals that may jump on such a deal. Lay out 2k for a nice server, give 10 megs and full 24/7 quality support all for a whooping 100 bucks. An ROI of like 2 years...sounds like a solid plan to me.

Been with my current host for 6 years... I pay a lot more than $100... I am sure he got a return on his investment well and above what I consume. And that is my problem. $128 (Pacific Racks' offer) a month in 6 years and I generate about 2/mbps bandwidth = $9216 to spend on a server, very little time and the BW itself...

Think big and have 1,000 clients like me and that is what? $1,816,000 in profit...

Or $302,666 per year...

Now add in the 1000's of webmasters that are using more and you have a complete picture of why you are so wrong on so many levels.

$$$.. My current server averages 90% idle time... I don't need a bigger, badder server, I need to pay less for what I have...

Think of it this way...

In 2003 I got a cell phone. It had a screen that only did numbers like a digital clock. They were huge like a digital clock. The phone itself was way bigger than the mouse your hand is on. I got a total of 50 minutes on this phone for $49 a month. The phone cost $75 with a 2 year contract.

It is now 2009. I can get a free razr and 3000 minutes for $49 with free texting.

Recently I looked at my girlfriends moms phone and contract.. called them and got her 2000 minutes she will never use and a phone with so many upgrades it'd take 2 days to show them to her...

And that is where I stand right now. My current situation worked in 2004 when I got on this server... It doesn't work anymore.

BTW... my servers that do the heavy lifting like run wordpress for blogs, etc, have thousands of IP's etc, I DO PAY $1000's for... This one just does images... It is kind of a no brainer..

Yes his price is definitely better. We use only Dell PowerEdge servers which are most costly and I did not mention it in the post but you would have redundant RAID storage, so the hardware we are providing is top notch.

Additionally our technical support is included into all of our packages and we have an excellent staff that supports your server day and night. On top of all this we have a mature infrastructure where we can provide server backups. Plus we host tons of customers in Alexa top 1000 some right at the Alexa 100 mark and the breakthroughs and optimizations we make there, we bring back to the rest of the customer base.

Reality Check Network customers are very satisfied and I'm quite certain you'd be thrilled with our service as well. PacificRACK 100% recommended.

I was able to get a 60% better server for less than 1/2 my old server's price. Also got 4x the bandwidth.

There have been 0 downtime issues, extremely fast response, and great customer service, etc...

Looking at moving some mainstream stuff over to their servers as well

Try http://www.xxxwebhosting.com we have been with them since 2003, have 2 servers there, tech support is great and price is good. Just renegotiated a great deal and could not be happier. We currently are at round 5000 Gigs per month with a small cost for overage if needed.
