I like it but I think at least one of the matchups is a victim of how they do the simulations. Ninjas by their nature sneak up on people, so having a "gladiator" type match is taking away their element of surprise, which is their best weapon, so yea naturally they got their ass kicked. I don't even remember what they were against but I thought a ninja would win easily against most. Given that, these last 2 shows have been IMO better.

Also, even though in some cases it will of course be near impossible to tell how the training vs. training aspect of it should be, I think in some cases it seems like they completely ignore that. I mean a gladiator's EVERY fight is for their own survival...it seemed to me that they should have beaten the Apache no contest, but I dunno...I guess they're the "experts".

I think Ninja was against Spartan. I still don't understand how Spartan can win? Like you said, ninjas are all about detection. One strike and you're gone. Its like having a sniper fighting marine. let me quess who's going to win that one.

Don't be all hung up on Ninjas being super fighters. You're confused from movies. Samurai were always the elite fighting force. Ninjas were assassins, a corwardly caste. In a heads up fight, no match. Anyone who tells you they've studied "Ninjitsu" is just a straight up joke.

The show seamed to be serious until the Mafia vs Yakuza episode...which was very funny. I was waiting for the guy to take the connolis and leave the gun.

I wasn't surpised when the Spartan beat the ninja. Easy call in my opinion.

I was however surprised when the Apache beat the gladiator. Very interesting result there.

Overall... good show. High testosterone levels all around.

I do agree with CAMOKAT - the show itself ignores the fact that weapons have nothing to do with the actual battlefield tactics that make a typical confrontation between fighting forces successful.

think about it that way, if pirate was to throw knight in the water would he be able to swin? Haven't you watch Pirates of Caribbean?Do you think knght can run on top of huge wheel as well? How about drink all that rum and then fight?

Yea, I thought the exact same thing - they mentioned the shield a few times then seemed to completely ignore it for defense. You figure more often than not, the blunderbuss would have to get through both shield and armor and they didn't even seem to test that.
