A West Virginia couple and two Georgia men have pleaded guilty in federal court in a Web site obscenity case, U.S. Attorney Kasey Warners office announced Monday.
Through their Web site, Michael and Sharon Corbett of Lewisburg, W.Va. offered for sale a total of 53 videotapes and DVDs depicting graphic scenes of defecation and urination, according Warners office.
The site was maintained by Joseph Tanner and Randall Rogers of Quitman, Ga., the owners and operators of Tdigital Services Inc.
The Georgia men pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to mail obscene material and one count of conspiracy to use the Internet for the purpose of sale and distribution of obscene material.
The Corbetts each pleaded guilty to one count of mailing obscene material.
Each count carries a maximum prison sentence of five years and a $250,000 fine.
