    How can I improve my site?

    Hey I built this site around 6 months ago http://www.freebabelist.com and after hard work updating and sending it links it is still struggling to get decent traffic. I am lost on what else to do. Can anybody send me any pointers?

    It's on shared hosting. So my pointer is to get my ass to move it to a dedicated one.

                  Where to begin...

                  I'll start with first impressions.

                  The site looks fake right off the bat with that webcams ad. It just looks like a surfer trap until you scroll (too far) down to see the list.

                  This layout doesn't make sense. If you are going to have a single column list of all the girls, then run cam ads in another column down the right side, which will push the real content up on the page.

                  Then the pages that all the names are linked to look empty. The design of that sub-page is really bad. Even with a couple links to galleries, it looks like there's nothing there. Thumbs would be huge on this page and on the main index.

                  If you really want SE love then the names alone will not cut it.

                  and of course, since I am a css snob, that code needs to go too.

                                      There isn't really anything inviting about this site at all. You really need to get a good site designer because there is no design to speak of. Any traffic you get is going to go away real fast. So before you spend your hard earned time and money getting traffic, make sure there's something there for them to see.

                                          why not have the site structured more like

                                          LOGO

                                          text

                                          (model list sorted alphabetically like below)

                                          A.

                                          table with 4 or 5 columns

                                          name 1 name 2 name 3 name 4
                                          name5 name 6 name 7 name 8

                                          etc..etc..

                                          Same for B, C, D all the way to Z

                                          you can slap an ad of 23 between the tables.. Between A and B or B and C or whatever. At least this way the site will look cleaner and not so fake

                                              The data needs to be cleaned a bit. There are multiple spellings for multiple models. Thumbs would help. Also, when I first clicked on a few names I thought they were blank. Make the gallery links stand out more.

                                                      you said it wasnt getting any traffic, well then why do you have the whole top covered with a huge ass advertisement? you have to capture the surfers attention within seconds or he will just leave your site.

                                                                                              Freebabelist was supposed to be a much cleaner lighter and efficient version of foxyreviews. Maybe that's is why it is not doing well.
                                                                                              But thanks for all the comments in this thread. I finish my exams end of this month and I am going to work hard over the summer.
