God some of you are simple minded.
In most modern societies the rich already contribute more to your well being. They pay more tax even after using loopholes like this. The rich are usually happy to do this to a point, after which they basically say "fuck you lazy bastards" and move, leaving a hole 1000 or so poor bastards have to fill.
Do you think the rich went to college for 6 years, worked their ass off, took huge risks, worked long hours for years, and put in more effort than those 'less fortunate', only to have to support those who had the same opportunities but for whatever reason never made something of themselves? Screw that.. I agree with contributing more, but the way you simpletons are talking you expect a free ride on the backs of those people.

To answer your question, Yes... Doesn't bother me at all..
This isn't about paying more... These people aren't paying at all.
They took money that was being made in and by, Americans, and MOVED it to a offshore Company that is actually, ran in America by Americans.. Thus "evading" taxes by saying it's an offshore corp, when it isn't.
You don't need to be rich to setup like this, and the real rich aren't stupid enough to use this loophole, like our Industry does. You can do it yourself for less than $3k.
If they don't like the tax, get the out of the Country. It's that simple, pack up, and leave.. go enjoy 'the life' in some other Country that doesn't tax you.

Hold on ... You are saying that the rich in America are paying no income/company tax at all? Of course they pay many taxes through what they buy etc, but are you serious about the income and company taxes?
If that is the case then I will happily admit I am wrong but I have to admit I find it hard to believe they can get away with paying no income or company tax at all! Sadly, for the health of our country, the poor and the less educated actually DO believe the rich pay no taxes.
Who do they think are paying for this country when the bottom 40% pay zero income tax?
On the one hand you shake your head over the massive amount of stupidity, on the other,you realize why it's so easy to succeed in this world. The competition is truly stupid

No, I didn't say they don't pay any tax at all.. We pay tax every time we buy something, or every personal dollar we make. Americans pay on all global 'personal' income earned.
And on Corporations, they pay on net income earned.
But what they did was this.. As an example, Porn Companies did this.. Porn Company A going in America, employees, office, hosting, etc. They setup Int "subsidiary" Company A.
This company, sets up EU accounts, etc.. It's making money, through the labor, owner, work, office, etc IN the United States.
However, when they check the box, they tell the IRS, no - This is a real subsidiary company, a real int company, that paid it's own due taxes, has it's own staff, it's own office... In another Country...... But it doesn't.
Thus... They are evading taxes, by moving money that is actually American Earned money into offshore tax haven bank accounts - and NEVER paid a tax on it...
This is not an example of the Rich moving it's money off shore into safe, lower tax areas, or building Int Corps that are REAL subsidiary companies and do business, as they should. ~TheDoc - ICQ7765825

After his post I was under the impression that the rich paid no tax at all. I am Australian, I am so sick of the 'tax the rich' campaign we have endured these past few years. Our welfare system is getting out of control, and I see the same happening over there.
Why the hell should I give my money to the lazy assholes who smoke too much, drink too much, and never take any steps to further their lives .... I have worked massive hours, taken substantial risk and paid more tax than 100 low income earners. How dare they demand more of my income just because they can't be bothered to make something of themselves! I would be interested to hear about proof that poor people have that "sense of entitlement". I think you are generalizing the same as they do here in the US. The rich paint the poor into that picture just as they feel like the poor paint them into a particular picture... neither case is true in a general sense.Comment

Ok here in Australia if you are on min wage you pay virtually no tax. The unemployed get generous benefits and generally the welfare system is out of control.
Us earning good money are on a 45% tax rate, and we pay several other levies too worth many thousands. There are still so many jobs vacant here, sure they are manual labour but still there are jobs available... but many are so pig headed they refuse to stack bricks for day or do some menial tasks for a paycheck. Fuck the poor .. they are poor by choice, anyone in this country can make enough to live on and have something spare, its disgusting how we who have put in the work have to feed the habits of the poor who drink, smoke, do drugs, and piss their money away on the pokies. I am getting the fuck out, and at least 100 low income earners are going to have to pay the tax that is lost to Aus..... fuck em.

This has nothing to do with rich people paying or not paying taxes, it has nothing to do with people at all.. It's 100% about Corporations doing business overseas while operating within the United States. It's Stupid Simple To Understand..
The Gov isn't demanding MORE money, it's about paying tax on money earned in America that didn't get taxed. It's not rich people, it's corporations of all sizes, big and small, rich and poor.
The reason 12clicks is probably so pissed is like most Adult Companies he paid for this scam setup too and is now going to have to actually run a real business.
