My issue and the story focus is about the brutal way they’re killed. Humanely kill them to survive but don’t blowtorch a live animal. Don’t beat them to death with wooden boards in front of other animals.
I’m not a big fish eater but would never eat line caught fish. Locally the boats have huge nets and scoop up what they can. They sneak in undersized lobster and get caught occasionally.
“All animals are alive before they are slaughtered for dinner.” Did you use Google to learn that? Do you truly think we believe dead animals are killed again for dinner? Sheesh.
Dog and cat birth control is not expensive but in a third-world country, every penny counts. They need Vets Without Borders so they can donate their talents to spay animals. Or, go over and bring back planes full of animals. The demand for pets here is huge. Get pet food companies to donate food to help out. Yeah, it’s a crazy idea but it’s needed. Teach people how to plant and cook food with protein instead of meat. Fish, peanuts, and other foods can be had for a little money.
Eat pets. But kill them humanely. It’s a living creature and dogs do more than be pets. They smell smoke and wake you up to get out. Dog died last week doing that. They alert you of danger and protect you at all costs.
