My Jaw Slips Out Of Place Sometimes

It is the most frustrating and painful thing. Happens out of nowhere. I will be chewing food and bam my jaw slides off track. So fucking painful and I have no idea why...

    UGH

So weird, whenever I am sucking a big fat cock it never happens. Maybe I'm having too much fun and it takes my mind off of it...

Yeah, happens with me as well. There's a loud crack when it happens too. I think it's TMJ.

Yup, classic case of TMJ. Try sleeping with a nightguard, you can buy one at any pharmacy. You may want to see your dentist. I had it bad where it would slip, lock, then I'd have to make a concerted effort to crack it open again. Ended up having orthoscopic surgery and it made a huge difference, no more cracking/locking, but I still sleep with a nightguard. This is the one I use... got it at Walgreens.

You could incorporate it into a beatbox routine.

I was blind-sided from behind to the left side of my face on Nov. 25, 2006. As a result, my lower jaw has been dislodged about 1/8th of an inch to the right. It didn't start to bother me until about a month after the incident, but I yawned once and mouth wouldn't shut.

What makes it worse is that I've been told that it either fixes itself or it doesn't - although after this length of time my doctor is finally considering surgery - and my very expensive dental work has all been destroyed because my teeth now randomly smash together. My dentist can't fix it because every bite impression I make is fucking different.

TMJ is an absolute fucking nightmare, and I would have killed the piece of shit on the spot if I knew this is how things would have turned out. I've also been told that even with surgery, my jaw may slip out of alignment again. When I go out into public I have to conciously force my lower jaw to the left so I don't look like a freak. After doing this for a bit, it actually stays in place for awhile, so its not too bad. Except that the pain is constant.

I have trouble satisfying my girlfriend because the left side of my jaw sometimes just decides to lock itself into an open position, causing me to lose all strength in my mouth and making it feel like a nail has been driven into my left ear.

Its a fucking nightmare, but its also funny. When I'm chewing my food and a tough piece makes its way to the left, the back of my jaw actually spreads open. My teeth don't chew the tough piece of food, the back of my jaw (left side only) spreads apart. Like a zombie from a cheap horror film, I try not to scream in agony as my mouth is locked open - sucks when it happens in public.

Woh! Too much information! Too long of a post! Tough shit - I'm bitter.

Yikes!!!! Look into some physical therapy. After I had my TMJ surgery I had about 2 months of intensive pt, and it truly made a difference. It's not the most comfortable feeling because part of it involves the therapist putting fingers into your mouth and massaging the jaw from the inside while simultaneously massaging the outside. Not the most pleasant thing but really helps a lot. Massage on the neck and shoulders can really help as well, but you may want to visit an oral surgeon, it could change your life.
