Star Wars: The Last Jedi wasn't a political issue, either. But once you get people picking sides it's much easier to get them divided on other issues, such as politics.

That's not how it worked, I went in with an open mind, I listened to the arguments from both sides and concluded which ones had the better argument by far. One is McScience funded by McPharma, simply pushing for profits, and the other is people trying to resist and call out the pseudoscience.
