Anyone from YouPorn / HubTraffic here? The YouPorn API is returning incorrect results for thumbnails

While we're here can they PLEASE fix the pornhub csv dump, it's had incorrect tags for over a fucking year, I've emailed them about it 3 times, they just ignore me

(the tags are fucked up such that, if a tag is multiple words like "big boobs", it will show up as two tags--"big" and "boobs"--with no way to tell that the two words are supposed to be part of one tag)

So set it to all and use the JSON results to extract the thumbs that suit you, it's not that much extra overhead.

I really doubt anyone from the dev team over at MindGeek will see this thread.

I never once emailed him for support, since I had enough issues whenever there was a plugin update just trying to get him to answer emails to get the new version. Then when he went to a monthly fee for the plugin, he stated in another thread where people complained that everyone that emailed him received an upgrade. I've emailed him multiple times over several months and he never answered. So fuck him, I gave up and bought wp-script, and I've never looked back...

That's an outright lie, you never provided me with the update, others have reported the same issue, so I guess it's all our fault then?

What was the payment email? Did you purchase from the site directly?

The plugin updates are now done automatically since version 2.0 and switching to Easy Digital Downloads last year. Anyone who requested an update has received one. Did you check your spam folder? Sometimes emails with ZIP files are marked as spam.

I've written off the original payment, which was for unlimited sites, free updates yada yada

You've changed the script to a plugin, changed the plugin to per site licensing, dropped unlimited sites.

Your script isn't competitive, it's badly coded, I use WP-Script now. I regret buying from you originally but that's on me. I wouldn't install your code on any of my Wordpress sites if you had the last tube plugin in existence.

Your email is whitelisted in my address book so no, it is not in spam, not to mention I check it every day. The email is maximumcheese ::AT:: gmail, I emailed you multiple times and you never answered. You did the same thing on the old version of the plugin, until you finally put my email address in the automatic updater. Then you went to a monthly fee and the updater page on your site for the old version disappeared, and once again you never answered emails...

Dude, learn some customer support etiquette. It is not your customer's responsibility to debug your support system for you. They also do not want to hear excuses blaming the API.

Take a look at some of his old sales threads, it's always been this way with him. Just looking through my emails now and I requested an upgrade on 8/9/18, 8/26/18, and then finally on 9/14/18, after which I just gave up...

*Edit* I just now received the upgrade, so obviously it was never going to my spam folder...

Where did I ask customers to debug the support system? Gmail automatically deletes messages in the Spam folder after they have been sitting there for 30 days. I made this thread hoping to get the attention of someone at YouPorn/MindGeek in order to have the YouPorn API corrected to return the results as specified in their own documentation.

Once again this has ZERO to due with Gmail. I just got the 2 emails you sent me with no issues, your email address is whitelisted in my address book, and I scan my spam folder every day. I have also received every email where you are trying to sell ready made Tube Ace sites. This has everything to do with you not bothering to respond to my past emails...

The $200 price was for the standalone version only which was released over 10 years ago in 2008, before the WordPress version was available starting in 2013. Are you now admitting you did have the Wordpress version update all along? Yes, there were some issues in previous versions as all software tends to have which I have worked diligently to solve. WP Script has had their issues as well. Do you have any issues with the current version? If so, I would love to hear them Robert K.

This is an email sent from a different SMTP server and without any ZIP file attachments, so perhaps this one made it to your inbox while the others did not. Unfortunately, that is beyond my control. I got the email advising of a new version, image posted above, but didn't get the update. I emailed you 3 times asking for the update, every email ignored. I check Junk Mail daily. Seems I am not alone, look at the people on your board messages page who can't get support.

Fact is I paid for an unlimited license, unencoded script with unlimited updates. What I have now is a single domain license for a Wordpress plugin.

Now I have the current version I'll audit your code and return to this thread in the next few days with my comments.

Given that you've released the script under the GPL, what's to stop people just giving it away and removing the EDD licensing?

Check the dates of that screenshot, which shows 2 people out of thousands of customers over the course of 10 years.

As I mentioned previously in this thread, last year I switched over to Easy Digital Downloads which makes pushing new updates a breeze since the update can be done in the WP admin as a regular free plugin.

You purchased the standalone version which was a separate product before the WordPress version was created. Why are you still complaining after I gave you a copy of a software product you didn't purchase?

I'm happy to wait if you actually appreciate that one of your customers cannot use what they've paid for. But what I'm not happy about is the lack of response you've given. You are selling a product and that product is not functioning correctly. It might be an issue on my end - if it is, I expect that I'm not the only one, and that you might be able to assist me.

Now, if I downloaded nulled version of TubeAce from a torrent, I could have had it instantly, realized that it didn't work and shrugged it off, only losing my time as a result. The issue is that I paid for the product instead of doing that, and now the product doesn't work, I'm out $80 and, sadly, I don't have a script that I want to use.

I want to use your script, and I want to tell other people that it's a good tube solution, but when you fail to provide me with a response for over a week while bumping your thread on GFY and being logged onto Skype while I contact you, I find it incredibly rude.

I'd like either:
1. Some information regarding what the issue is, as well as a rough timeline for it being fixed. If the issue is on my end, a solution to it. Be it a new host, a better understanding of programming or something else.
2. A refund of $80, at which point I will completely remove the script from my site and delete it from my PC.

I don't want to be an asshole, and I certainly don't think I'm being unreasonable with what I'm saying. Please do something to rectify an issue one of your customers has.
