Also...demand is HUGE. Every DP / Camera Op I know either has one on order or already has theirs. And these are folks who work with $60k camera bodies regularly.
I sit on the board of a local filmmaking organization. Blackmagic Cameras are a big deal to the independent film scene. For $1300 you can have a camera and software package that will allow you to create images and colors that very closely replicate those $60k cameras.
It's pretty fucking amazing, if you ask me. I was thrilled to be able to do that at the $7000 price range with the Ursa Mini Pro, but for under $1500...that's a game changer.
