Maybe I need to watch it again but I didn't love the movie as much as others seem to, and I'm a die-hard MCU fan. To me, "The Winter Soldier" is the best of the MCU. Seen it 10 times, Fucking love it.

    Mission Impossible was great.
Not sure that I can pinpoint the "why," though I can tell you I have had issues with the Marvel movies over the last few years with having way too much "fluff." Turning a 2 hour movie into a 2 hour and 30 minute movie for absolutely no reason at all. Those 30 minutes tend to be dry, boring and make me want to stab someone. Every instance of The Avengers, except the very first one, I found myself bored several times throughout the movie. Too much fluff.

With Black Panther I did not think there were any fluff points, I was entertained throughout the whole movie. It's also possible that I liked it as much as I did because I had absolutely zero expectations and actually thought I wouldn't care for it at all.

I *LOVE* these seen too. It's so good! It's a really nice slow build. Somethings going, cap sees it, not sure, maybe he's paranoid, nope, more and more big guys getting on the elevator... wait for it ... wait wait... fucking great scene.

And yes I agree that it feels like a 70's political thriller... maybe a spy thriller... I read somewhere once that one of the reasons Redford was cast was to help the movie feel more 70's.

In my opinion, Winter Soldier is the best movie of the MCU.
