how to make mainstream site popular using adult site/traffic ?

So long as the mainstream site really doesn't have adult on it, just gets some adult eyeballs, I don't think AdSense would ban you. You might not get a lot of clicks on your AdSense adverts though, if what your surfers are looking for is boobs.

thats a good point, lets say only 1-3% find this mainstream site useful for later use.
thats will also work, i am not looking for people to click on my adsense ads, i want people to spend time on my mainstream site and keep coming back to it.

I have a mainstream video review site which gets a bit of traffic, I replaced AdSense with a reputable adult ad network and the results have been pleasing to say the least.

so you placed , adult ads on mainstream ?
why would you do that ?
wont it scare surfers away if site is mainstream then ads should be mainstream too, imho. so they can access from their work place too.

I did it because I was going to trash the site, but thought I'd try something different. I'm using a smart link with sexy but not pornographic image banners.

The big question would be - how many people will actually stay on that mainstream site and not just shut the popunder right away..?
Also wouldn't it be better to pop a cam api site instead?

you can for sure push a mainstream site with adult traffic but a lot of it will get lost if you do that with popunder.

a banner that is not missleading will bring much more effect because only people that are interested will click on it and the rest will not leave the side for nothing.

in regards of pops it really depends on the quality of the side and a few more things if you can use it for other things than adult related stuff.

the most important question here is the holding time on a page and the content.

if you are showing yerk-off content and you do have a long holding time it is a good precondition for other things than porn.

the good thing on a pop is that we know it is usually the LAST thing a user sees from a site. as we do know in what condition a user COMES to the site and can assume that he FOUND what he have searched for we have a perfect information based on timing.

on sites with a lot of yerk-off content and long holding times things like gaming, gambling, holidays and even seasonal products like car tires for winter/summer are working great.

is the content not that "efficient" and the holding time short it shows you that the user is still interested on porn related stuff as he did not find what he was looking for.

unfortunately there is no technique that can execute a pop at a certain timeframe but what should make sense is an automated meta redirect in an already opened pop after time x after opening.

to calculate how much you can make with a popunder is also not easy to preassume. if your traffic comes from tier one countries and you have 20 k uniques on the page it still does not mean that you can sell 20 k pops.
a popunder can only be executed with a click. if your traffic comes from traffic-exchange thwre will not be more than 25% doing anything on your page (even less - depending on the exchange you are using).
also some systems are blocking popunders very successfully and there is no popscript that can go around all of this blockers).

so depending on this factors it can be everything between 1 and 20 us per day what you can make with 20 k users.

I think you will need a lengthier period then a few days.. Catching one-two cam whales can be a lot more profitable then making pennies every day..
