... thank goodness! All those freaking commercials of buy this, buy that, save this, save that, if you love her buy this, toys toys toys, blah blah blah.

It’s hard enough being a Jew during Christmas season, feeling left out while everyone is happy and gay. They change tv schedules, stores are filled with crazy shoppers and restaurants feature strange food.

Sixty degrees and no snow. Mail delays. Christmas carols constantly on the radio and Bing Crosby/David Bowie duet isn’t classic rock.

Tomorrow is Kwanzaa, then Martin Luther’s birthday holiday, then quiet until Valentine’s Day. Chocolate hearts, overpriced cheap chocolate...

Holidays are a pain in the ass!

It can't leave soon enough. I was stuck at a party last night where I got sucked into particpating in a Christmas song circle complete with egg nog and printed out lyrics. It was fucking weird and I told my wife that's not happening again. Not my thing.

I had a couple good visits with family. One more tomorrow. I worked still through the holidays but as much as I could without stressing. Took naps when needed and even cancelled a plan that wasn't that important. Why stress over everything?

Keep in mind I work full time on top of what I do so this alone is a good break!

Very grateful to be able to work. Grateful for family and to even be on this board.

Ya, I hate holidays! I went to a family Xmas party Sunday where 4 out of the 25 family members where sick. What a surprise I got the 24-hour bug and my Xmas eve was spent shitting and puking all night and day.

I don't understand why people go to family events when they are sick. Hell thanksgiving I came home and a day or two later I had a 3 week cold.

I like Christmas. I do all my shopping early and avoid the rush. Nothing like sitting down with friends and family and eating too much turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, carrots, peas, gravy, hmmmm... such goodness.

That being said though, I miss work. Can't wait to get back to the grind tomorrow.

I have vowed never to spend another Christmas here. Too much bullshit trying to please two families and all the shit that comes with it. And yeah everyone has been sick this year also which doesn't help so how about you stay the fuck at home instead of passing the bug on to everyone else. I stayed out the way for a couple days and everyone was like "wtf is up?". I'm sick you assholes. Try learning from me and maybe the bugs and colds won't spread around as much...
