They were a large precentage of Trump's voting block.. here are a few sensible posts from over there....Not looking good for Trump at all...
Since probably late 2015. A review of my posts from the Era will show that I was a harsh critic of both Trump and the reference person's flip-flop on Trump. Late in the campaign, I chose to put my concerns behind me and be hopeful that Trump would defeat Hillary and follow through on his promises. I remained that way until today. This ban with confiscation changes my attitude irrevocably. I am off the train. With the loss of support from 2A hardcore like me, DJT will now almost certainly be a one-term president. What we witnessed today is suicide by an American president. What a fucking shame.
Another.....in reply to someone who said Trump brought out the trailer park vote with the "lock her up" chants..
If this is the "winning" we get with the trailer park vote, then fuck it, I'm out.
And I disagree with having needed them in 2016. Hillary was completely unlikeable and many Dems were pissed their establishment stole the election from Bernie. Scores of them would have sat home and we could have run someone that had a firm grasp on the Constitution and policy. Instead, we ran someone that polarized Dems to show up to vote against him.
Just like most people didn't come out to vote R because they liked Trump. They came out to vote R because they hated Clinton. She would have been trounced by someone more likeable than her and Trump wasn't even that
^^^ This guy was absolutely spot on... A lot of Dems were pissed as fuck over Hillary/Bernie thing. However Trump was worse than Hillary so myself and Manny other only voted Hillary to block Trump because Trump was a obvious piece of shit.
Someone like Kasich could have easily won against Hillary because many Democrats would have seen him as sensible and not polarizing and less of a need to try to block by voting for Hillary..
Trump cost Republicans the House next will be the Senate and the WH. Gun rights supporters have long been one of the stable backbones on the Republican voting pool because between Republicans and the NRA they were able to paint Democrats as The "gonna take your guns"...party.
Meanwhile time and time again its Republicans creating the gun bans.. Democrats are usually just trying to push for common sense gun laws to limit criminals and crazies from being able to buy them. Creating laws that force owners to be responsible for their guns..
The out right banning of guns has only come from the very far left prior to the school shooting movement. To be fair the school shooting movementonly came about because Republicans refused to work on common sense stuff... Yet then they turn around and ban stuff...
Perhaps gun owners are starting to see the real problem is not Democrats... but Republicans...
