Yeah Rochard is a smart guy. There are plenty of other news sites that actually police the media on both the right and left. I trust those far more than and mainstream sites.
Alternative media is not Infowars and Breitbart, that's not what I am at least talking about. That's not news as far as I am concerned.Comment

Then what is news? What news can we trust?
I am fifty years old, and I've trusted NBC and CBS and ABC news since I was child. Are these no longer valid and reputable news sources? The most trusted newscaster in the US is Lester Holt, from NBC.... Should I not trust him and his reporting?

Chief Justice Roberts issued a statement today.... Roberts said the U.S. doesn't have "Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges."
President Trump is attacking people in the military and in the courts calling them a "Obama judge", etc... He is actually attacking his own government. He attacks everyone. Constant negativity.Herschel Savage

So let's see what kind of negativity came out of the White House this week....
- Cohen was indicted. Indictment says Trump ordered him to commit a federal crime.
- Manafort was indicted again. More lies to the FBI. And now more secret meetings between Manafort and the man who directed the DNC hack operation.
- John Kelly, Chief of Staff, is leaving the white house.
- Prior Secretary of State Tillerson claimed everything Trump wanted to do was illegal.
- Trump planned secret meeting with Putin at the G20, then canceled it when the Russiana announced it, then had the meeting anyhow. No one seems to know if the meeting actually took place and if so, what happens. White House refuses to have press conferences so no one knows anything.
- Turns out everyone in Trump knows was lying about Trump attempting to do business in Russia.
- We discover there was a secret deal to give Putin a $50 million condo in Trump Tower.
- Trump announced new secret deal with China. White House knows nothing about it. Seems now there is no deal at all.
- Stock Market takes a huge crap after secret deal with China - which most likely never existed - fell through.
- Republicans were caught red handed committed election fraud.
- Republcans in Congress were briefed by the CIA on Mohammed bin Salman, and are convinced Trump is is wrong and that Mohammed bin Salman ordered the murder.
It's fucking exhausting. Every week is like this.
The new is so bad and so negative that the White House is blunting refusing to press conferences.

In the age of the internet and instant news, I think its important that everyone reads news that's both left and right and then from that decide your own conclusion.
If you don't want to read "fake news" ... delay reading anything for 3 months, that gives the reporter time to fact check and the news paper time to verify.... like it used to be in the old days.
If you want news on something that's happened in the past 36 hours, then your dealing in gossip. If your watching news that's being explained to you by a panel of people.. then your getting propaganda
Read multiple sources.. use your fucking brain. Look up whose writing the article your reading..Comment

There's nothing joyful and celebratory about the Trump's during the holidays it's the most bizarre thing don't you think?
There is the Christmas tree lighting couple weeks ago and Trump left early panicked. The trumps are so strange and unhappy all the time.
