Tumblr used to be an excellent platform to post adult content and drive traffic. However, Tumblr is banning all adult related content beginning Dec 17th of this year.

Tumblr is dead.
I've seen some sites like (google for tumbling-on, cannot post links yet) which want to show alternatives.
But in my opinion there are not good alternatives. Sharesome looks good but is very slow.

Reddit is your best bed.

I don't understand why top social networking sites are so dead against adult content?

Is it stopping it? No, people are more accessing it, better is to launch an adult platform rather than just banning it. What do you think about it?

For example Verizon ( owns Tumblr) is over 10 B company. Why would they incur the wrath of the " bible thumpers and the me too idiots" over a measly 100 mil.

Absolutely agree. We had to create new blogs, then reblog the blogs that got closed. Have to choose the most decent material to post and even then they mark the content as adult.

What we got left? Twitter and reddit. Anything else?

Who's going to come out with a second generation "tumblr-like" site that has critical mass and that will allow adult content? It's crazy to think that everyone that was going to tumblr for porn has experienced a hard stop (pun intended)... where are these customers going to? We need to find it and start exploiting that next platform. Any ideas about where they're migrating to?

Just checked it... the same problem as BDSMLR ...

No search....

For example: You have over 6,000 photos. If I want to find ONLY photos with "panties" I cannot. From the overall search I get every disgusting "sissy/tranny" in the universe wearing panties.....Now, even if I wanted to display ALL 6000+ pictures and went looking, it will take forever before the 6000 thumbs load. Even if I wanted to be patient, my "scrolling" finger would fall of before I would find what I was looking for.

Also, you need to create account ( free or not is not of importance), many will not create an account to get spammed by the site for trolling porn....

Sorry not for me....

What I do not get, is why the developers did NOT check what worked on Tumblr ( good search within one account, monthly small thumbs, fast load, page, month and a years of posts etc...). These idiots are just trying to copy Facebook, but no cigar ... dumb.
