            For an interesting book on German culture and feces, check out http://www.amazon.com/Life-Like-Chic.../dp/0814320384 It was written by my Anthro 160 professor back in college. The late great Alan Dundes. One word of caution though: he uses Freudian analysis on some of his claims. So I'm not sure if I agree. Regardless, his analysis and historical and cultural references/examples make for great reading.
