yup that is what I took away from this too.. When I first saw this I was thinking it was like using a scanner to listen to wireless phones but this is so much more..

That is assuming there isn't already a background program installed on every cell phone for the NSA.

I remember when stealing someones account was as easy as sitting on a street corner running a scanner. I used to have to turn my cell phone off before going to LAX because people sat in the parking structure with a scanner getting everyones accounts as they drove by.
