I'm no phychologist, but according to my incredibly intelligent observances and extensive knowledge, I believe the sniper is a ripe fucking coward. I mean really, anybody having to resort to doing dammage to another person from 300+ yards away has got to be a gutless skid-mark-having anti-social punkfucker. This person obviously doesn't have the guts to face their problems head-on face to face, and would rather deal with life from a distance, from a safe anonymous position, where afterwards they can run away or "blend in" and escape the consequences they so richly deserve.

What a gutless pathetic punk.

This is why I say that in some cases, just some, we should bring in penalties similar to that of the Phillipines. Public floggings, repeated beatings, etc. These punishments were designed perfectly for assholes like this faggot punk sniper.

a sniper wouldn't want to get caught - avoiding capture for a military objective isn't cowardly (assuming this is another terrorist attack)

I disagree. Blaming tv, movies and video games is a major copout. I believe that feeding people's fantasies is a good thing, because fantasy <i>anything</i> hurts no one. my wife is a kindergarten teacher. when shows like power rangers were a hit on tv the kids got in fights EVERY recess. It was horrible and happened across every school yard. When they became less faorable the fights went down hugly. Aggression and hate are learned behaviors.

i don't think this teaches kids that violence is ok. i've played a lot of doom and quake and i know a lot of people who play fps games. none of them are violent, and certainly none of them run around shooting people.

MY turn to ask..... do YOU know something the rest of us don't? Because, as far as I can tell so far, this is still peacetime, no official war has yet been declared, and nothing is known about this sniper except that he/she is shooting innocent defenseless civilians. If this is an act of war, why not shoot military personel or key polititians or something?

My point is that shooting defenseless people, just regular folks and family members, from a few hundred yards away, faceless, anonymous, is an act of a coward. Bottom line is, if people would smarten up and learn that having a rich fantsy life is a healthy and productive thing, there would be FAR less real (bad) violence in the world.

You are correct. There have been many studies that show even the old time cartoons with Bugs, Daffy, Slyvester, etc. raise the violence level of children.
