    Finally got tired of not being able to access some websites of platforms that sell my content, when in Europe (like now in Bucharest), so I subscribed to a VPN service.

    Wow. Pretty much worked out of the box - except that I did need to reboot my cable router (which I might have needed to anyway!).

    I picked the #1 Rated VPN service. I'm trying the 6-month, $9.99 plan.

    I can now read a hometown newspaper that was blocking EU IPs due to GDPR, and a couple of sites that sell my content as they think traffic from Europe, Eastern Europe specifically, is somehow problematic.

    Nice to have more complete access again.

                  It is nice being able to select which country the VPN is in, so we can watch live Cams where the Broadcaster sets limits on viewers from e.g. their home country

                                              So the VPN service that I signed up with yesterday, and paid for 6 months, today cancelled my service because they could not validate my Credit Card! They wanted me to send a photo of the Credit Card, and wait 2 days for a call back!

                                              So I signed up with NordVPN, paid with PayPal Credit, and the $107 cost for 3 years qualified for the 6-month 0%APR PayPal financing. ($99 minimum).

                                              GFY.

                                                  You’ll find that a lot of websites block NORD AND IPVANISH. I have had both and sometimes have to disconnect it.

                                                      hardly had that, but than change to another server (they have several iin some countries) and problem solved. Sometimes i want to watch Dutch television, and they block countries for some programs. Till now, no problem.

                                                      I also tested Mullvad, but than i had to connect to different servers many times. Easy to pay by bitcoin and no further information needed, not even email.

                                                              I setup one router with DD-wrt to be using the proxy, and another router without the proxy ... I can switch ...
                                                              Need that for Netflix, as PIA is blocked by Netflix ...

                                                                  They answered my Trouble Ticket. Seems they changed the location of the US Server! The app they provided me (3 days ago) was out of date even then.

                                                                  So they sent me Apple Terminal (Linux) command line string to repair their app, and now I connect to US.
